Pilgrim season of Kurisumala starts on the first day of lent and ends on Good Friday. The peack period of the pilgrimage is the Passion week.

On these days, unending flow of pilgrims irrespective of caste, creed and language can be seen day and night making the occasion a celebration of the people.
The whole path is lighted in such a way that it enables the pilgrims to climb up the 'Neruka' even at night.
